CE - marked Sauplast Blue meets the required conditions for a construction product.
The vapor barrier plastic is installed on the warm side of the insulation, i.e. inside the house, in accordance with building regulations. It is recommended to place the vapor barrier plastic about a foot deep inside the wall on the warm side, so that it does not get holes every time nails are hammered into the wall, screws are screwed in or boards are attached.
The penetrations must be carefully sealed with vapor barrier tape that is type-approved or with a penetration approved for this purpose.
When extending the vapor barrier membrane, there must be a 20 cm overlap at the point where the membranes are extended, and the extension point should be sealed by gluing or taping. The vapor barrier membrane is used when the structure does not have a separate moisture or water barrier.
