- Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel, cryotechnical treatment: Sandvik 14C28N is a martensitic chrome stainless steel whose properties have been optimized for high-quality knives intended for professional use. This places very high demands on edge sharpness, edge stability and corrosion resistance. The 14C28N stainless chrome steel of each RUIKE knife has been further refined by hardening and cryotechnology (treatment of steel at a very low temperature, the so-called cryo-zone), thus achieving an ideal blade hardness between 58-60 HRC.
