The camera body is made from a lightweight but durable magnesium alloy that can withstand heavy use, with a stylish finish for a good grip. 23 megapixel still images and an enhanced lens Inside the compact body is a large, ultra-sensitive, backlit 24mm CMOS (1-inch type) image sensor that delivers 23 megapixel 360° still images with superior image quality. The improved lens minimises ghosting, lens flare and flare, and the Theta Z1 also features an adjustable aperture with three positions: F2.1, F3.5 and F5.6. Aperture Priority (Av), Shutter Priority (Tv), ISO Sensitivity (ISO) and Manual (M) modes let you choose the best solution for every shooting situation. The Theta Z1's built-in four-channel microphone captures sound from 360 degrees, delivering superior realism to 360 video footage. The camera body features a 0.93" screen that displays a wide range of information about camera status and usage, the number of images that can be stored, exposure settings, etc. The Android-based operating system allows for updates and optional extensions, introducing e.g. time-shift shooting which removes the reflection of the cameraman from the images. Thanks to 51 GB of built-in memory, the Ricoh Theta Z1 easily stores a lot of videos and photos. Thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi connection, sharing the recorded footage is also easy.
