The Theta X features all-new 48-megapixel CMOS image sensors, an updated main processor and improved lens design. The new Theta X has several new features, including a 2.25-inch touchscreen, a removable battery and a Micro SD card slot. Large 2.25" touchscreen significantly improves usability The RICOH THETA X is equipped with a large, user-friendly 2.25" touchscreen. With the ability to preview a scene before shooting, adjust shooting settings and view captured images, various operations from shooting to viewing can be performed without a smartphone, greatly improving shooting efficiency. High-resolution 360-degree still and video shooting and video recording The CMOS image sensor, main processor and lens design have been redesigned. Thanks to the new sensor of around 48 megapixels, it is now possible to capture high-resolution 360-degree still images with a maximum performance of around 60 megapixels. Two image sizes are available to suit the shooting scene: 11K for high-resolution indoor shooting in bright lighting and 5.5K for easy and efficient shooting in other situations. In addition, an enhanced image stabilizer achieves vivid and smooth shooting for 360-degree video at 5.7K equivalent 5760 × 2880 pixel resolution at 30 frames per second (fps). With built-in GPS and A-GPS support, the device can provide accurate location information. The outer body of the camera is made of magnesium alloy for durability and excellent heat transfer properties. A USB Type-C port on the side of the main body allows the camera to be powered even when on a tripod without the optional extension adapter. Time Shift shooting mode allows the photographer to take a picture without being in the frame, while continuous shooting mode continuously captures 20 still images per second (5.5K still images when shooting). Includes a touch shutter function that allows a photo to be taken by touching the touch screen display in addition to pressing the shutter button. Photos can be registered as favourites from the list of photos displayed on the touch screen. Favourited photos can be viewed in the THETA app on your smartphone. The playback direction of still images can be selected in the shooting settings. The RICOH THETA X has an AI Auto feature that uses artificial intelligence detection technology to identify a subject in the captured images and display from that point. Exposure compensation and white balance can be adjusted on the camera itself before livestreaming. Easily switch between different shooting modes (stills, video, custom settings, livestreaming, connected mode) using just the camera's mode button.
