The Ju88 was the most versatile German fighter aircraft of World War II. Serial production started in 1939 with the Ju 88A-1. From the beginning of August 1940, attacks on the British mainland increased. On August 15th, British tactics changed and Luftwaffe success diminished until September 15th, when the tide finally turned.
