Alongside the Tirpitz, the Bismarck was the largest battleship in World War II. The 251 m long ship was put into service on 08/24/1940. After completing the training trips, she took part in the Rhine exercise company. She sank the British battle cruiser HMS Hood in a sea battle off Greenland on May 24, 1941. Then the Bismarck, damaged at the bow, set course for a French port. During the pursuit by British ships and aircraft, the ship was shot down on May 27, 1941 and sank in the Atlantic. Finely structured components with rivets and recessed sheet metal joints authentically reproduce this imposing battleship. Other features of the kit include the moveable turrets, with individual moveable tubes.
