Monolith fabric is coated with a special hydrophobic protective film that prevents liquids from being immediately absorbed into the fabric. This means that the liquid can simply be wiped off the fabric. This makes the fabric very easy to clean, even without the use of toxic detergents. Monolith is also widely used as a sofa fabric, making it particularly pleasant to the touch, very durable and long-lasting. Monolith has a Martindale abrasion resistance rating of >100,000 (recommended for normal daily use 20,000-25,000, for heavy use over 25,000). The main fabric and filling make the bed suitable for allergic and hypersensitive pets. The cover is easily removable for washing thanks to the zipper on the mattress and can be machine washed.
