For winter use:
- The carport roof must always be kept clean. Ensure that fallen snow does not remain on the shed roof.
- The shed cover must be taut. There must be no ‘pockets’ in the cover, particularly at the top of the shed.
- The shed roof stays cleaner when the cover is taut.
- Ensure that the shed frame is straight throughout. If the shed has been erected directly on the ground, there is a risk that the frame is not straight, which weakens its structural integrity.
- Under no circumstances should snow be cleared from the shed roof from the inside by pushing the cover. This can be life-threatening.
- Always clear snow from the outside using a tool that will not damage the cover.
- The warranty does not cover a shed that has collapsed due to the weight of snow.
