We often notice at home or at work that there are too few free sockets. The problem is that the socket slots in the extension cord are occupied and sometimes the transformer plug can take up many slots in the extension cord. Adding regular extension cords just creates an unnecessary amount of cord - often they are just in the way. We want all our devices to work flawlessly and effortlessly at the same time. The cube shape of the PowerCube solves this problem. One product has 4 sockets and 2 USB connections. The devices to be connected can never cover the adjacent plug.
