Many people remember PEZ candies and their funny dispensers from their childhood. Originally designed as a breath freshener for adults, the candy has already become a children's favorite in 90 countries. An Austrian grocer invented peppermint pastille in 1927, which was first sold in tin cans. For reasons of hygiene, a patent was developed in the fifties for a device that dispensed one candy at a time. Only later did PEZ become a children's product.
