For high compression and high vibration applications requiring a unique RTV seal. Exceeds the performance requirements set by car manufacturers. Safe for sensors, odourless, does not cause corrosion. Excellent oil resistance. Leak-proof. Heat resistance -54 to +260 °C. OEM specified. Typical applications: valve covers, sump covers, intake manifold seals, gearbox housings, water pumps and thermostat housings.
- Surfaces must be clean and dry.
- Apply a smooth and uniform 2-6 mm thick strip of silicone to one surface and surround the holes in all bolts.
- Compile the part immediately while the silicone is still wet.
- Tighten with your fingers until the material begins to bunch up around the flange.
- Let dry for one hour, then retighten 1/4-1/2 turns.
- The silicone will fully cure in 24 hours.
- NOTE: Not recommended for use on deck seals or parts that come in contact with gasoline.
