Panasonic Aquarea WH-SDC0709J3E5 is a 7-9kW outdoor unit 1-phase High Performance J-generation Split air-to-water heat pump smart Bi-Block wall-mounted indoor unit with R32 refrigerant, which moves the hot gas produced by the outdoor unit forward with the help of a heat exchanger, heating the service water and the water of the heat distribution network to a suitable temperature. The wall-mounted indoor unit has an intelligent control system, as well as a built-in 3 kW 1-phase electric resistance as an additional energy source in severe frosts. The Bi-Block indoor unit gives more possibilities regarding the installation location, because it does not contain hot water or buffer tanks. The hot water heaters are placed separately in the technical space, while the indoor unit takes up only a small amount of space on the wall. Especially suitable for low spaces.

Dimensioning the air-to-water heat pumpPanasonic Aquarea air-to-water heat pumps are suitable as a heat source for water-circulating radiators and floor heating objects, as well as for producing hot domestic water. Dimensioning the right size/power class of the heating system can be done, for example, according to the peak power demand (W/m2) for heating during severe frosts.

- To ensure sufficient heating capacity, please note that your heating system always has an additional electric resistance/other back-up heating system for winter's extreme cold (below -28 °C), when the air-to-water heat pump does not produce heat. The buffer accumulator of the heat distribution network balances the operation of the heat pump, it makes the operating periods of the compressor long enough and helps the heat pump to work as planned. It is especially useful when heat is produced in a water-circulating radiator network, where the amount of water is typically smaller than, for example, in water-circulating floor heating sites. We recommend the use of a buffer accumulator at least with radiators, it also helps with underfloor heating, especially in heating situations in damp rooms during the summer, when the amount of water in the floor circulation is small when the rest of the underfloor heating circuit is closed. In these situations, even the inverter compressors may run intermittently without the buffer charger connection.
