Osmo Color TopOil is a product suitable for interior wood surfaces and lightly tinting wood. It is particularly suitable for worktops and furniture, but can also be used for mouldings, partition doors, window frames, toys and decorative objects. TopOil is suitable for a wide range of wood species, including pine, spruce, larch, oak, birch, beech, ash, maple, elm and alder. The treated surface remains breathable. TopOil is used on untreated wood surfaces or on wood surfaces sanded to a wood-pure finish in warm and cold indoor environments. It is also well suited for use in damp interiors such as kitchens and bathrooms, as well as on surfaces where food is handled. TopOil is easy to apply and takes up to 20 minutes to finish the application evenly. The treated surface dries in about 24 hours at normal room temperature. During the drying period, it is important to ensure good ventilation. The product is applied 2-3 times to the new surface. For a lighter colour result, apply the shade only once and finish the surface with a colourless product. - colour result: audible. The final colour is also influenced by the number of coats and the type of wood used. - Gloss: matt or silky grey. - Yield: minimum 24 m²/l. TopOil belongs to the M1 group of emission classifications for building materials. SURFACE PREPARATION Clean untreated wooden surfaces from dirt and dust before application. Remove previous hard coatings. We recommend sanding the surface for better and more even absorption. A suitable finish sanding thickness for flat surfaces is P150. REGREASE Stir TopOil thoroughly before use and from time to time during use. Apply with an Osmo microfiber roller, Osmo brush, foam brush, wood wax pad or cloth. Choose the tool according to the application and your preference. Allow the surface to dry properly between coats and before use. Apply a thin coat so that all the material is absorbed into the wood and the shade looks even. Wash tools with solvent-based petrol. However, the roller and brush do not need to be cleaned between applications if they are well preserved. SURFACE CARE Dry wiping and wiping with a lint-free cleaning cloth is sufficient to care for the surface. When the surface needs washing, Osmo Color Oil Soap is suitable. The treated surface reaches its final hardness and liquid resistance in about two weeks and should be used with care before that time. The surface should only be maintained as necessary. TopOil is used for re-treatment. COMPOSITION TopOil contains sunflower oil, soybean oil, shea butter, carnauba wax, candelilla wax, paraffin, pigment and drying and water repellent additives. The solvent is aliphatic solvent gasoline. Also like: wood putty
