Olli Lightning Protector protects your shepherd from lightning strikes coming through the fence by directing the lightning to the ground before the shepherd. Installed between the fence and the shepherd. Hot-dip galvanized.
 A separate lightning protection is recommended especially for mains powered shepherds in areas where there is a high risk of lightning striking close to the fence. Such are, for example, enclosures located in open and high places.
 Also remember the grounding of the lightning protection! In order to function in the best possible way, the lightning arrester must be grounded separately with its own grounding rod. Therefore, do not connect the lightning protection to the same grounding bars as the shepherd.
 It is good to have more grounding rods for the lightning arrester than for the shepherd (at least 3 pcs.) and they should be installed at a distance of about one meter from each other and at a distance of about five meters from the shepherd's grounding rod. Also remember that it is good to sink the grounding rods into the ground along their entire length, no part of them should be exposed. We recommend the durable Olli high-voltage cable for installation.
