Vegvisir: A ship decked out in power sails waits in the cove. The sun has colored the surface of the sea orange. The air smells of sweat and tar, beer is flowing in leather jackets moistened by the sea air. The village jeweler has been sweating again in his dark workshop, and when a loud group of Viking warriors board the ship, the smith hands the warriors Vegvisir, a runic compass. "If the stars and fish currents lead you astray, Vegvisir will guide you through storms and pitfalls. It knows your destination, even if you're walking in the middle of a fog," he says.
