NiSi Nano IR Neutral Density Filter ND8 is a gray filter specially designed for landscape photographers. The filter is made of high-quality multi-coated optical glass on both sides, which prevents extra reflections. The gray filter does not affect the color scheme of the image and the ND8 dimming reduces the light entering the lens by 3 aperture values. The body of the filter is made of aluminum and it is only 3.5mm thick, which makes the filter an excellent choice even with super-wide-angle lenses.
A grayscale filter (ND) can be used to reduce the light entering the camera and use a larger aperture or a longer shutter speed than normal and enable either a shorter depth of field or motion blur in a moving subject.
Built-in infrared filtering reduces the color error caused by infrared frequencies.
