The extra-long cable allows you to position the camera in the shade and install the panel anywhere within a 3-metre radius in a sunny spot. The solar panel generates power only when exposed to direct sunlight, so it does not work when the weather is cloudy. However, the camera’s long-life battery ensures that this is not a problem. So, whenever the sun shines, it charges sufficiently to keep the camera running.
