Griffonia 5-HTP capsules contain 400 mg of standardized GriffsTract® Griffonia simplicifolia extract in every vegetable capsule, of which 100 mg is natural 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP). They are a part of Natura Media’s “Natural Origins” product series.
Griffonia supports the function of the brain (EFSA list of pending health claims: Griffonia simplicifolia: For improvement of brain activity EFSA-Q-2008-2446). Please note, that it’s advised not to take Griffonia 5-HTP capsules in conjunction with antidepressants or sleep medications.
Natura Media’s Griffonia 5-HTP is manufactured in our own production facility in Raisio, Finland. It’s a vegan product, and free from all typical allergens such as gluten, milk, soy, nuts, or eggs
Griffonia simplicifolia
Griffonia is a native plant to West Africa and Central West Africa. It is a scandent shrub that can grow up to 3 m tall. Griffonia seeds contain naturally 6-20 % of 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP).
5-hydroxytryptophan or 5-HTP is an amino acid and a natural precursor and intermediate in the biosynthesis of serotonin and melatonin. Our bodies produce these neurotransmitters also from tryptophan, which is abundant in protein-rich foods.

How to Use
