Natura Media's Acerola C capsules contain 100% natural vitamin C, the source of which is genuine acerola cherry extract. Natural vitamin C is in the form of high bioavailability, that is, it is ready for use by the body. Natura Media's Acerola C is produced in the company's own production in Finland. The acerola extract used in the capsules is extracted in Switzerland. The fruit itself is grown in northeastern Brazil on family-owned farms that are intentionally kept small to protect biodiversity. Acerola cherries are collected from the trees at the exact moment when the fruit is turning from green to red. This is when the fruit's vitamin C content is at its highest. The farms benefit the local communities, as the farmers are paid a fair compensation for the fruits and the communities, for example, maintain schools. Vitamin C has extensive health effects. It promotes e.g. normal immune system function.
