A ukulele requires a humidifier to play best and stay in good condition. If the ukulele is stored at less than 45% humidity, its parts consisting of whole wood (e.g. often the cover) may shrink and crack. Humilele from American Music Nomad is the best ukulele humidifier on the market. It is very easy to use and affordable. Moisten the sponge, put it inside the blue case and hang it between the strings at the echo opening, and your ukulele is guaranteed to be moistened. The Humilele ukulele humidifier sponge absorbs much more water than its competitors, and thanks to that, it doesn't need to be refilled as often. So you don't have to constantly check to see if the sponge is still moist. Lift the lid, try with your hand to see if the sponge is moist. If so, leave the mushroom in the case. If the sponge is dry, moisten it under the tap with water and put it back. The Humilele Humidifier also won't leak or mess up your uke. In terms of the lifetime of the humidifier, the best end result is obtained when you use distilled water. If it is a particularly dry place or severe frosts, put the ukulele in a guitar bag or bag!
