It's no coincidence that traditional cast-iron frying pans are not the best-selling cooking utensils in the world. Properly maintained, they last forever and are very easy to maintain. Cast iron is a safe material and can withstand high temperatures for a long time. Cast iron is suitable for all cookers, including induction.
This pot is ideal for long simmering with liquid - do not use without liquid. Under the lid, you can prepare delicious casseroles and long simmering meats and stocks for a larger group. The surface has an enamel coating that doesn't need to be greased as regularly as the cast iron surface alone, but you should dab the inside with oil or grease before each use.
Clean the cast iron with hot water and a dish brush, and if dirt has adhered more firmly to the surface, boiling water in the pan will loosen it. Do not use dishwashing detergent or put the pot in the dishwasher, this will remove the grease coating.
