A bit timid by nature, Nipsu is a good friend of Moomin. He lives in the Moomin house, just like Little Myy. Often Nipsu is involved in all the activities, but he is nevertheless the first to withdraw from the task when the going gets tough. Unlike the other residents of Moomin Valley, Nipsu is afraid of water and the sea. Nipsu can't even be persuaded to the pier, let alone the boat.
