How to Choose the Right Knife for Your Needs
When choosing a knife, it is important to consider the intended use and personal preference. The following factors will help you choose the right knife for your needs:
Blade Material and Hardness:
Stainless steel blades, such as RST 420, are durable and easy to maintain. The hardness rating (such as 53-55 HRc) affects the durability and sharpening interval of the blade.
Blade Length and Shape:
Choose the length and shape of the blade based on what you plan to cut or carve. Shorter blades are suitable for precision work, while longer blades are better for cutting larger pieces.
Handle Ergonomics:
The deep handle provides a comfortable and secure grip. For example, the orange ergonomic handle improves visibility and reduces the risk of accidents outdoors.
Purpose of use:
Determine where and how you plan to use the knife. For camping, hunting and construction work, you need different features such as durability and versatility.
Selecting a knife based on these factors will ensure that it meets your needs and will last for a long time.
