Mergus

Mergus P40 electric outboard

The electric outboard motor is perfectly suited for Finnish cabin boating in lake areas and sheltered sea areas. It offers an ecological and quiet way to enjoy domestic nature. The advantages of an electric outboard motor are low maintenance costs, long service life, high reliability and easier use than a combustion engine. An electric outboard motor is also suitable for occasional use better than a combustion engine because it can withstand more bumps. You can use the Mergus electric trolling motor as a bow motor or in the stern. Special motor mounting kits are available for canoes. The trolling motor is excellently suited, for example, as an auxiliary motor for a small rowing boat or for temporary use in rubber boats. One of Mergus's solid strengths is the high efficiency of the propeller. This means lower energy consumption and vibration-free use. And this is no wonder when the engine manufacturer is one of the largest manufacturers in the world. The Mergus electric bow motor makes your fishing even more comfortable and efficient.Mergus featuresMergussa highlights e.g. following features that provide better performance than most other brands.Specially strong, aerodynamically shaped plastic so-called weed propeller lasts a long time.Very strong seamless steel shaft in the P seriesThe P series motor has a carbon brush, which doubles the usability of the motor compared to several other brands. Can drive continuously for more than 500 hours.Battery meter, with beeper for low battery power warning system. Can also be used in salt water, the shaft is corrosion resistant. In the P series, 5 forward speeds, free and 3 reverse speeds.Depth setting by adjusting the setting.Technical informationThrust: 40 lbsSpeed control: F5-R2Motor type: Brush motorNominal voltage: 12 VNominal speed: 1800 R/minNominal current: 34 AhRated power: 408 WSteering handle: telescopic type 15 cmMaximum speed: 6-7 km/hNoise: 50 dBWeight: 18.14 kgPropeller model (inside): 2 blades / 9Package size: 101 x 45,5 x 15,5 cmNOTE!The battery is not includedRead the instructions before useRead the specificationsChoice of electric outboardThe choice of an electric outboard motor is most influenced by the boat in use, the weight of the boat and those on board, the operating conditions and the intended use time. In general, you should choose the next larger machine that meets the user's needs. This enables the engine to be used in slightly stronger wind conditions and brings additional comfort and safety to boating. There is a diverse group of machines on the market, including slightly more affordable machines with quality brands, but their use value is often clearly lower than the original. The price differences of electric outboard motors between copies and originals are very small, and original manufacturers often have longer warranty periods and high-quality quality control.Use of electric outboard motorAn electric outboard motor is ideal, for example, for trolling, as an auxiliary motor for an excursion canoe, or behind a cottage beach dinghy for short trips to check nets and gillnets. The electric outboard motor does not need to be jerked to start separately, like a manual Fuel-powered outboard motor, but it can be used, for example, by children or older people without much use of force.
