Medela Contact™ Breast rubbers enable breastfeeding when the nipples are flat or inverted, or it is painful or challenging for the baby to latch onto the breast. Breast rubbers protect sensitive, dry and cracked nipples during breastfeeding. They are made of transparent, ultra-thin, soft silicone that is comfortable on sensitive skin. The unique shape of Medela nipple shields maximizes skin-to-skin contact between you and your baby. The shields are safe and tasteless for your baby. Made without BPA.
Before using the breast rubber, wash your hands with potable water and dry them thoroughly. Then grab the wings of the chest strap to position it correctly. Moisten the shield with water so that it adheres better to the skin. See the user manual for full instructions on how to attach the chest strap. The breast rubber should sit comfortably on the nipple without squeezing. They are available in three sizes so you can find the best fit for your nipple type. Don't forget to clean the breast rubbers after each use and disinfect them once a day - the easiest way to do this is to use a Medela sterilization bag. Breast rubbers are delivered in a convenient storage box, so they are always safe and stored between each use.
