About the product

Red honeysuckle as a building material: the durability of Lapland red honeysuckle is based on its slow growth, which can be seen in the dense annual rings. The Lapland red honeysuckle we use is much more durable as a building material than the fast-growing pine that grows in the south.

Long eaves - Protect walls from snow and rain: the eaves and ends of LP Garden garages are long. Thanks to the long eaves, in windy and snowy places the eaves protect the walls and the log buildings last for a long time. The long eaves can withstand heavy wind and snow loads because they are made of 42x145 Lapland redwood.

Long construction designed to withstand northern conditions. Solutions proven to work over the centuries have been combined with modern design to produce a result that is durable, practical and long-lasting. All our buildings are designed for the snow and wind loads of the north. The snow load resistance is calculated at 300 kg/m2 and the wind load rating we have used is 1.0kN/m2. The space between the garage and the canopy is constructed with a double log wall with an air gap between which also acts as a fire barrier and meets building regulations. Our aim is to provide a high quality and durable log building at a reasonable price.

Treat and finish to your own style. Treat with a wood preservative or paint with an opaque wood preservative colour. When applying a paint, remember that the logs in your garden buildings have been planed and the durability of the paint is a challenge. Be sure to follow the paint manufacturers' instructions to avoid chipping off the paint finish. If you prefer, you can also make the barn an eye-catcher in the yard with bolder colors or highlight the door with a distinct shade.

The highest standard on the market, LP Garden garages are designed with user-friendliness in mind. We manufacture buildings with the highest internal heights on the market at 2238 mm measured from the edge of the wall. The free interior space at the ridge is 3037 mm which creates an airy interior space in the garage.

Room-sized door - easy to use in everyday life: the wooden doors of the LP Garden garages are the highest standard on the market, the fair-sized double door makes storage effortless. The doors are the most generous in size and offer the best space for gardening tools, firewood and various hobby equipment. When you build a ramp in front of the barn, it's also particularly easy to store and use wheeled machinery such as a lawnmower.

Masonry permit. The carport does not count towards the building permit. The building permit regulations allow building with a declaration permit for outbuildings under 30m2 when you consider the following:
- Unused building right on the plot.
- You keep to the 4m rule limit required by law.
- If the plot is located on a waterfront you must check the building regulations for the beach.

Covering materials (available to order as an option):A complete tin roofing package is available, which in addition to the roofing includes ridge and end tiles and the necessary fixing screws. The cover is available in a choice of colours: black (RR33), dark brown (RR32), red (RR29) or graphite grey (RR23). The profile we use is the R-20 profile, which is screwed directly to the roof rails supplied with the timber. Tin roof packages are also available with condensation protection. Condensation protection prevents water condensation as the air changes on the inner surface of the sheet. We implement the condensation protection with DRIPSTOP anti-condensation coating, i.e. the condensation protection is attached to the underside of the tile, thus eliminating the need for a cross-column and a separate underlay. A complete Palahuopakate package is also available, which includes not only the roofing but also the gable and eaves gutters and the eaves spacers. We also supply raw wood shingles with the shingle roofing. Fasteners are not included as there are several models of nail guns. The colour of the roof can be chosen from several options: black, dark brown, red or dark grey.
