Liquitex Basics Matte Gel is the perfect partner for acrylic painting and is suitable for use with all Liquitex products! Matte Gel reduces the shine of the color, makes the color thicker and increases translucency and fluidity. The product is shiny when wet, and matte when dry. The substance also extends the drying time of the color. Mix the color with Liquitex Gloss Gel - the end result is a satin-like surface. Matte Gel can also be thinned with water if necessary. However, we recommend using the product sparingly, otherwise the end result may be too foggy. The product is easy to use: mix the desired amount directly into the color.
