The handles are made of Terralene HDPE elastomer, 100% recyclable and BPA-free. 96% of the material is bio-based plastic made from sugar cane and wood fibre, which is Bonsucro, ISCC and PEFC certified. Scratch plate material is stainless steel.
Produces bright sparks at around 3000°C, which also act as an emergency signal if required. Lasts up to 3000 ignition cycles. Officially approved by the International Survival Instructors Association as survival equipment. The nylon scraper can also be used for other purposes.
