Tangram is a Chinese jigsaw puzzle game. In tangram, the square is divided into pieces of different shapes and sizes, which are meant to be turned and moved to build different patterns. A tangram consists of seven pieces, which are always cut from a square in the same way. Janod Tangram contains 25 double-sided task cards. The difficulty level of the task cards varies from very easy to really difficult. On one side of the task cards is a colored picture that reveals the locations of the different shaped pieces. The shadow image on the reverse side of the card is considerably more difficult to grasp. The work doesn't stop there, because you can develop new patterns yourself almost endlessly.
Tangram exercises visualization, but it is also an excellent tool for practicing geometric shapes, fractions and areas.
