The TEXASHIELD PRO outer fabric is completely windproof, water-repellent and highly breathable. The windproof construction helps to reduce the effects of cold draughts and retain the heat generated inside the jacket. The water-repellent surface offers protection from light rain and snow, but this is not a fully waterproof shell jacket. Good breathability enhances comfort during active movement.
The Wild Pass Down Jkt M RDS is part of Jack Wolfskin’s 3-in-1 compatible range. Using the system zip, the jacket can be zipped into a compatible Jack Wolfskin outer jacket to act as a warming layer. This means the jacket can be worn on its own in dry and cool weather, or as part of a more protective ensemble in cold and changeable conditions.
Compared to a sleeveless gilet, this jacket also protects the arms and thus provides more warmth in colder weather, whilst its hoodless design makes it easy to layer under a shell jacket or other outer jacket. The elasticated cuffs fit snugly around the wrists and help to minimise the entry of cold air into the sleeves. The adjustable hem allows the fit to be tailored to the wearer and the conditions, whilst also reducing draughts entering the jacket from below.
Two zipped hand pockets provide secure and easily accessible storage for items such as a mobile phone, keys and other small items. The regular fit allows for natural movement and makes the jacket easy to layer with base and mid-layers. The back length is 71 cm.
