The Jack Wolfskin Atmosphere Pants W RDS are women’s insulated down trousers designed for cold conditions. The combination of 700 cuin down and TEXATHERM CORE REUSED/RECYCLED fibre insulation provides warmth with a lightweight construction, whilst the windproof and highly water-repellent TEXASHIELD REUSED/RECYCLED PRO DOUBLE RIP outer fabric provides protection in variable winter conditions.
The insulation in the Atmosphere Pants consists of 700 cuin NATURAL DOWN and TEXATHERM CORE REUSED/RECYCLED fibre insulation. The down offers a good warmth-to-weight ratio, meaning the trousers provide effective warmth without an unnecessarily heavy construction. The down is RDS-certified, meaning that its sourcing complies with the Responsible Down Standard requirements.
The outer fabric, TEXASHIELD REUSED/RECYCLED PRO DOUBLE RIP, is designed to withstand heavy use and provide protection in cold outdoor conditions. The material is windproof, highly water-repellent and breathable. The windproof properties help to block out the cold wind and retain the warmth provided by the insulation, whilst the highly water-repellent surface offers protection against snow and light moisture, for example. However, these trousers are not fully waterproof shell trousers.
The high waist protects the torso and helps keep the lower back warm in cold conditions. The elasticated waistband makes the trousers easy to put on and enhances comfort whilst on the move. The pre-shaped knees, in turn, support the legs’ natural movement, for example when walking, climbing or working at camp.
