The insulation in the Atmosphere Pants M RDS consists of 700 Fill Power RDS-certified down and TEXATHERM CORE REUSED/RECYCLED fibre insulation. The down’s excellent warmth-to-weight ratio enables effective thermal insulation without an unnecessarily heavy construction. The synthetic fibre insulation complements the warmth provided by the down, making the trousers a functional extra layer of warmth in cold conditions.
The down used in these trousers is RDS-certified. The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) sets out requirements for the responsible sourcing and supply chain of down. Furthermore, the Atmosphere Pants M RDS are a Bluesign®-approved product, and both the TEXATHERM CORE REUSED/RECYCLED insulation and the TEXASHIELD REUSED/RECYCLED PRO DOUBLE RIP outer fabric utilise reused and recycled materials.
The TEXASHIELD REUSED/RECYCLED PRO DOUBLE RIP outer fabric is designed to withstand active use in outdoor conditions. The fabric is windproof, highly water-repellent and breathable. The windproof construction helps prevent cold draughts from reaching the insulation layer and retains the heat generated by the trousers. The highly water-repellent surface offers protection from snow and moisture, but the trousers are not fully waterproof shell trousers. The breathable construction enhances comfort, particularly during active movement.
The high waist provides protection over a wider area than standard trousers and also helps to keep the lower back warm in cold weather. The elasticated waistband makes the trousers comfortable to wear and easy to put on. The contoured knees support the legs’ natural range of motion when walking, bending over and moving across varied terrain.
The trousers feature a back pocket and a stow-away pocket for easy packing. Thanks to their lightweight and warm construction, the Atmosphere Pants M RDS are easy to take with you, for example on a hike, as an extra layer of warmth, and to put on at camp, during breaks or when the temperature drops.
