The injector supplies up to 30W of power to a PoE+ (802.3at) device at a maximum distance of 100 meters. Electrical safety improves considerably when surveillance cameras and other devices do not need to draw high-voltage electricity, but instead get the power they need from the Ethernet cable. When connected to a grounded socket, the injector provides protection against overvoltages, short circuits and overcurrents.
