About the product

Dim, water-based, and breathable silicate paint for plinth surfaces.
Suitable for concrete, brick, block, plaster, and render surfaces, among others. Also suitable as a primer under plinth coatings. Intended mainly for outdoor use, but can be used indoors, for example on basement walls. Not recommended for floors or stair surfaces. Dusty concrete should always be primed with Ilves Stone Primer (primer).

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Make sure all paint cans are from the same production batch or, alternatively, mix different batches together to avoid shade variations.

SPECIAL FEATURES: Ilves Plinth Paint combined with Ilves Stone Primer effectively prevents water from penetrating the structure while allowing moisture from the inside to escape as vapor.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: The surface must be clean, solid, and dry. Brush dust off the surface. Remove any loose or poorly attached plaster, concrete, or paint. Priming the surface with Ilves Stone Primer is recommended, as it strengthens the structure. Paint 1–2 times depending on the desired result. METHOD OF APPLICATION: Roller, brush, or spray. FINISH: Fully matte. THINNER AND CLEANING OF TOOLS: Water. Ilves Base Paint can be thinned with water if necessary, but the topcoat should be applied with undiluted paint. COVERAGE: 3–6 m²/l. Coverage depends on the roughness and porosity of the surface and the painting method. DRYING TIME: 2–4 hours depending on humidity and temperature. WORKING CONDITIONS: The surface to be treated must be dry and dust-free. Ambient temperature at least +5 °C and relative humidity below 80%. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE: Transport upright and supported. Protect from freezing. Keep out of reach of children. COLORS: Dark brown (RR32). PACKAGE SIZES: 2.7 L
