Matte, water-based and breathable silicate paint for plinth surfaces. Suitable for e.g. for concrete, brick, block, screed and plaster surfaces. Also suitable as a primer under plinth coatings. Mainly intended for outdoor use, but can be used indoors, e.g. in the walls of the cellars. Not recommended for floor or stair surfaces. Dusty concrete must always be primed with Ilves Kivipohjuste (primer).

Make sure that all the paint cans are from the same production batch or, alternatively, mix different batches together to avoid shade differences.
SPECIAL PROPERTIES: Ilves Plinth Paint combined with Ilves Kivipohjuste effectively prevents water from penetrating the structure, but at the same time lets the moisture coming from the inside as steam out.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: The substrate must be clean, solid and dry. Brush the dust off the surface. Remove loose and poorly adhered plaster, concrete or paint. Priming the base with Ilves Kivipohjuste is recommended, as it strengthens the structure. Paint 1-2 times depending on the final result.
METHOD OF WORK: Roller, brush or sprayer.
GLOSS: Full matte.
THINNER AND WASHING TOOLS: Water. Ilves Plinth paint can be thinned with water if necessary, but surface painting is done with unthinned paint.
SUFFICIENCY: 3–6 m2/l. Adequacy is affected by the roughness and porosity of the surface to be painted, as well as the painting method.
DRYING TIME: 2-4 hours depending on humidity and temperature.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The treated surface must be dry and dust-free. Air temperature at least +5 °C and relative air humidity below 80%.
BINDER: Styrene acrylate.
TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE: To be transported in an upright position and supported. Protect from freezing. Keep out of reach of children.
