PRE-TREATMENT: Sand new, previously untreated wooden surfaces
if necessary and clean from dirt and dust. Wash previously
varnished surfaces with Ilves Maalarinpesu and rinse well with
water. Sand and remove dust. Remove any varnished surfaces in
poor condition completely.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: Apply with a brush, sponge or spray.
Recommended application 2–3 times. Test the shade of the tinted
varnish on a small area first. The color tone is affected by the type
of wood, the color tone of the substrate and the number of
varnishing sessions. Mix the varnish thoroughly before use. Tinted
varnish in particular should also be mixed during varnishing to
obtain an even color tone.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The surface to be treated must be dry
and dust-free. The air temperature must be at least +5 °C and the
relative humidity must be below 80%.
COVERAGE: 8–14 m²/l.
DRYING TIME: Dust-dry in 1 hour, sandable after 2–4 hours.
The varnished surface reaches its final hardness in 5–7 days.
Avoid placing objects on the varnished surface during this time.
THINNER AND TOOL WASHING: Water
TRANSPORT AND STORAGE: Transport in an upright position
and supported. Protect from freezing. Keep out of reach of
children.
PACKAGING DISPOSAL: The empty can is disposed of with mixed
waste or in accordance with local sorting instructions.
The remaining liquid paint in the can is delivered to a hazardous
waste collection point.
