Hexocil disinfecting shampoo 200 ml is a special shampoo developed and produced at a pharmaceutical factory for washing horses, dogs, cats and other domestic animals. The shampoo effectively cleans the coat and leaves it shiny. Hexocil is excellent for use when preparing animals for exhibitions and appearances. In addition to the properties of normal shampoo, Hexocil has an effective disinfecting effect, which makes it especially useful in treating skin infections of fungal and bacterial origin (e.g. pälvisilsa and rivi). Hexocil reduces disease pressure by effectively eliminating pathogens from fur.
The disinfecting effect of Hexocil is based on hexetidine's ability to displace thiamine (vitamin B1) in the metabolism of microorganisms. The disinfecting effect of hexetidine has been established on a number of gram-positive (Staphylococci, Streptococci, Corynebacterium) and gram-negative (E.coli, Klebsiella, Fusobacterium) bacteria, as well as fungi (Trichophyton, Microsporum, Actinomyces, Candida). Hexetidine also has a beneficial effect as a supportive treatment for ectoparasitic infection. The ability of hexetidine to adsorb on the coat provides a long-lasting effect.
The washing instructions are simple: moisten the coat thoroughly and dose Hexocil as much as you need to get plenty of foam (dog and cat 5-10 ml, horse 20-30 ml). For example, use a sponge. Rinse immediately in a normal wash or leave on for a few minutes before rinsing to treat skin problems. If necessary, repeat the treatment, for example, every week. To avoid contact of the preparation or foam in the eyes, be careful.
