The Healer RED2 is an effective and easy-to-use device for localised red light and near-infrared therapy. It allows the light to be precisely directed at the desired area, enabling treatment to be carried out one part of the body at a time. The device is particularly well suited to treating pain in joints, the lower back and knees, as well as for facial skincare. Its 300 W power output and large number of LEDs also cover a wider area without the intensity dropping too much.
Thanks to its compact size, the Healer RED2 is easy to move and carry around. The device can be placed on a variety of surfaces, such as a table, sofa or chair. The base of the device features a tilt-adjustable stand, whilst the rear panel has raised feet, ensuring unobstructed airflow when the device is lying flat.
Red light therapy is recommended for 2–15 minutes at a time for each area, at a distance of approximately 10–30 cm. For example, a treatment time of around 5 minutes is often sufficient for the face, whilst the lower back or knee can be treated for 10 minutes.
Red light (660 nm) is part of the natural spectrum of sunlight, whilst near-infrared light (850 nm) is invisible to the eye. The Healer RED2 emits both wavelengths, which penetrate deeper than the skin’s surface layers, right down to the cellular level. Red light affects the skin, whilst near-infrared light penetrates deeper into the muscles.
Unlike UV or blue light, for example, red light and near-infrared light reach the mitochondria within the cells, where cellular energy production takes place. This activates ATP production and supports the body’s natural functions.
Red light therapy is a safe and gentle form of treatment. The device does not produce harmful UV radiation or excess heat. The RED2 is equipped with 60 LEDs operating at five different wavelengths, broadening the red light spectrum and its potential effects.
The effects of red light and near-infrared therapy have been extensively studied in both humans and animals. According to research, these wavelengths can protect cellular function and boost energy metabolism without causing any side effects. Red light is used, amongst other things, to support muscle recovery after exercise, to promote scar healing, and to improve skin condition and collagen production. In addition, red light therapy can alleviate various types of pain, such as joint and back pain, as well as inflammatory pain.
