The dial of the Northern Lights watch is crafted from genuine Finnish birch, which has been stabilised to a green hue. This stabilisation process gives the wood a unique colour palette and ensures its durability. This technique is entirely unique in wristwatches.
Flamed birch is a type of birch wood characterised by wavy grain patterns. In rippled birch, the undulating grain patterns are entirely unique, much like the Northern Lights visible in the sky. Rippled birch is an exceptional characteristic found in birch, making it a rare and highly prized timber. It is both a hard material, making it suitable for watches, and striking thanks to its unique grain pattern.
The ‘Northern Lights’ Walnut (32mm) watch strap is crafted from genuine walnut, a material perfectly suited to watch straps. The hardness of walnut ensures the strap’s durability.

Revontuli watches are the culmination of a long design process. The aim was to create a striking wristwatch with a classic, eye-catching colour scheme and design, as well as just the right amount of boldness.
In addition to the dial and strap, the back of the watch, which rests against the wrist, is made of wood, making the watch feel soft and light against the skin. We selected top-quality materials for this wristwatch. Walnut is a highly regarded and durable wood that is easy to work with.
