The S series SL5i dampers are renewed and lighter versions of the earlier S series SL5 damper.
Ase Utra's domestically produced S series SL5i silencers are made of precision cast components and assembled by welding.
The S series SL5i suppressors are made of 300 series stainless steel. The S series SL5i suppressor extends the weapon by only 103 mm, with a diameter of 44.5 mm.
The S series SL5i silencers are therefore suitable for light-barreled hunting guns as well as thick-barreled range guns.
The S series SL5i silencer lowers the gun's sound pressure level by 22-30 dB (depending on the caliber and measurement point).
The S series SL5i suppressors reduce the sound pressure level measured at the shooter's ear to approx. 128-135 dB, i.e. clearly below 140 dB, which is generally considered the hearing damage limit for impulse noise.
The reduced sound pressure level reduces the shooter's risk of hearing damage and also significantly reduces noise in the environment.
In addition, the silencer also significantly reduces the gun's recoil and muzzle flash.
The silencer meets the requirements set by EU Directive 2003/10/EC (140 Pa or 137 dB (C))
