Origin of coffee beans: Guatemala coffee originates from the city of Antigua, which is located 50 kilometers from the current capital of Guatemala. The coffee beans used in the coffees are collected by hand and cleaned carefully. Today's coffee production in Antigua still uses ancient Mayan farming techniques. The volcanic soil also makes this coffee special.
UNESCO added the site to the World Heritage List in 1979.
