When a vehicle fitted with an SCR system is used daily in cold weather, under low engine load, at low speeds and with frequent stops and starts, the exhaust gas temperature may remain too low for the AdBlue® reaction to take place fully. This can lead to the formation of cyanuric acid crystals, causing deposits and blockages in the SCR system. This can result in higher fuel consumption, increased maintenance requirements or, in the worst case, the vehicle being taken out of service.
EFFINOX® contains a special additive which helps to dissolve deposits already present in the SCR system and, with continuous use, prevents new ones from forming. This keeps the SCR system cleaner and allows it to operate more efficiently.
EFFINOX® also helps to clean the injectors and improve the spray pattern. This promotes more efficient operation and a more complete reaction even at lower temperatures, which reduces the risk of crystallisation in the SCR system.
