The Gitzo GS3321SP Systematic series 2/3/4 flat top plate is the same as the standard top plate that comes in the box with every new Gitzo Systematic tripod (series 2, 3 or 4). It is used to mount photographic or video heads with a flat base or other equipment with a 3/8" female thread.
The machined ring below the plate is compatible with Gitzo's updated Systematic collection's safety latch function and offers safe, accident-free cleaning even when changing central components.
There is also a hook below the plate, which can be used to hang weights or bags under the stand, which will increase stability even more if necessary. The GS3321SP is carefully crafted from high quality aluminum with high durability and durability.
