The Gitzo GT3542L Series 3 Carbon Fiber Tripod is designed to safely support professional cameras with 300mm lenses (up to 400mm lenses) and reaches eye level when fully extended. This professional tripod features Carbon eXact tubes with larger leg diameters. The diameter of the upper part of the legs is 32.9 mm, and the high modulus carbon fiber in the lower parts of the legs makes this tripod stronger, stiffer and lighter than its predecessor. The Gitzo GT3542L weighs only 1.95 kg, has a height of 178 cm and folds to 59 cm. This tripod is the perfect choice for professional photographers who want a very durable and reliable tripod, yet light enough to carry around for hours on hikes in nature.
The central column of the tripod is easily removable, which makes it a ground-level tripod and allows photographers to shoot the most different angles. It also has a pivoting center column. The 4-piece leg of the Gitzo GT3542L locks securely with the G-lock Ultra screw lock, which has a built-in O-ring to keep dirt and dust away from the legs. The upper spindle of the stand has been redesigned for more rigidity, and the large leg angle selectors provide a wider grip surface for easy adjustment of the leg angle. The tripod has a stabilization hook in the middle column, which adds weight and increases stability if necessary depending on the terrain or the weight of the equipment. Its interchangeable legs allow the stand to be changed and adapted to all types of surfaces. A wide variety of heads and other accessories can be easily attached using the 1/4" and 3/8" mounts on the top plate.
