Gerber Zilch is a light and graceful folding knife for everyday use. The pocket is not infinitely large, so every millimetre and gram has been carefully considered in the design of the EDC (every day carry) knife. The Zilch is built to slip effortlessly into your pocket and be forgotten until you need it - you'll hardly notice you're carrying it.
Despite its simple design, the knife has thoughtful details that make it recognizable. The open body pins give the knife a technical look, and the design of the blade back departs from the traditional folding knife line, giving the knife its own character. The details are not just visual - the open design also makes cleaning easier by preventing dirt and debris from clogging the inside of the handle.
The user can choose the opening method that suits them best: the blade can be opened either from the thumb stud or the traditional claw slot. This way, the same knife works for both the user who appreciates a quick one-handed opening and the more traditional folding knife feel.
The end of the handle has a cord hole for attaching a carrying handle. The knife weighs only 62 grams and has an overall length of 18.3 cm when opened.
