Gerber Suspension-NXT is the modern evolution of the classic Suspension. The best features of the original model are retained, but the tool has been redesigned for everyday use: a slightly smaller size, pocket clip and more focused tool selection make it the ideal companion for commuting, weekend trips and hobbies. However, the small size doesn't take away from the reliability of professional use - the tool will stand up to more demanding work.
Suspension-NXT includes 15 tools designed to serve a wide range of users. The classic butterfly opening mechanism puts spring-loaded narrow-tipped pliers quickly into action as both handle halves fold to the side. The spring-loaded jaws make working much easier - the hand does not need to constantly squeeze the handles, but can release the grip naturally.
In addition to the pliers, traditional pliers, side cutters and a stripping tool for working with yarns are available. The combination blade combines the smooth and serrated parts in one blade, making it suitable for precision cutting as well as for cutting tougher materials. The scissors handle more delicate jobs.
There are four screwdrivers: a crosshead and a large, medium and small flat. The combination covers virtually all common types of screws you'll encounter at home, at work or on a field trip. A can opener, a bottle opener, a nose wrench, a file and a straight edge complete the set and make the tool truly versatile.
All tools lock securely in place during use, so the tool cannot be accidentally folded in the middle of a job. A sturdy pocket clip allows the tool to be carried in a deep pocket or on a belt, so it's always within reach but doesn't take up extra space.
