Type 2 overvoltage protection and type 1 + 2 combined arrester (DC OVP type 1 + 2) for direct or indirect lightning strikes are particularly suitable for use with Fronius Symo 10.0 - 20.0 kW and Fronius Eco inverters.
In the Fronius Symo app, users can choose from two options for each variant depending on the application:
- one MPPT option if both MPP trackers are connected,
- or multiple MPPT options if both MPP trackers are used separately.
On the other hand, the Fronius Eco model requires only one conversion for type 2 overvoltage protection.
Both measurement channels can also be used with one variant.
In the type 1 + 2 combination arrester used with the Fronius Symo, customers can choose between a single MPPT option or multiple MPPT options, depending on whether only one or both measurement channels are used.
Thanks to the adjustable, integrated remote signaling function, the user is automatically notified via the Fronius Solar.web web portal whenever the overvoltage protection trips *).
The expansion modules enable quick replacement in the event of a fault, therefore only a single module has to be replaced, and not the entire surge protector.
