Kånken was developed already in 1978 to prevent back problems in Swedish children. It quickly became a common sight in preschools and nature clubs around the country. The material is a durable, very light Vinylon F fabric that is resistant to dirt and moisture. The spacious main compartment has a large zippered opening, which makes it easy to pack things into the backpack and take them out. It has two flat side pockets and a front zip pocket, perfect for small items you want to keep easily accessible. The PE foam base included in the backpack stays in the inner pocket against the back, thus preventing the contents of the backpack from hitting your back. It's always available when you want to take a break and sit down.
The carrying system is simple but practical. The upper part has carrying handles, and the backpack has narrow, adjustable shoulder straps. The logo on the front is reflective. There is also a name tag inside the main compartment.
