According to the Finnish Weapons Act, the Suomi 5 gun cabinet is suitable for storing a maximum of five guns. The cabinet has storage spaces and places for five long guns. The material of the cabinet is 1.5 - 2 mm sheet metal. The door has a safety lock and three-way locking pins. The bottom of the gun cabinet is padded and the rear wall has a sturdy gun rest made of foam material. The cabinet has a separate lockable upper compartment for storing cartridges and accessories. The upper compartment can also be accessed without opening the actual gun compartment, so it is also suitable for storing other valuables in the home. The surfaces of the cabinet are finished with white (RAL 9010) powder coating.

Regarding the legislation regarding the storage of weapons, it is worth noting the following guidelines: if you own more than five weapons or firearms classified as particularly dangerous (erva), they must be stored in safe cabinets approved by law. This means that in households with more than five guns, the storage of weapons in the same premises cannot be spread over several non-certified gun lockers, and the only approved method of storing more than five guns is a certified security locker or a separately approved storage room.
