With its own stamp, Posti celebrates Finland's favorite chocolate, Fazer's Blue, which first went on sale in 1922. Karl Fazer's golden signature and blue packaging have been milk chocolate's signature and quality guarantee since the beginning. They also feature in the delicious stamp designed by
Paula Salviander , which focuses on the essential: Fazer Sininen's newly opened chocolate bar.
In 2001, Fazer's blue color was registered as its own trademark, which serves as the symbol of the chocolate without even having to write the name. In the minds of Finns, Fazer's Blue is the Blue heart of the entire company. Fazer has been ranked at the top of Finnish brands for years.
The design of the brand, initiated by Posti, started with a joint meeting with Posti's Design Manager and Fazer's brand manager and communications director. "The finished brand should reflect Fazer Sininen's brand and taste world. During the design work and during the proofing phase, the clarity of colors and details in the stamp size was ensured several times," says Posti's Design Manager Tommi Kantola.
Paula made several sketches of the brand, which were further developed with Tommi's help. "The result of the work was a delicious sign, where the chocolate pieces reach over the edges of the sign. In this way, we got a three-dimensional look and a fresh chocolate atmosphere for the brand. It was great to be part of the team designing the brand icon Fazer's Blue stamp for the anniversary," says Paula.
